November 13, 2025
AC Hotel Biltmore Village, Asheville, NC
Thank you for your interest in NCDOT’s Local and Regional Safety Workshop on November 13. This workshop is open to transportation, public health, first responders, and other local and regional agencies (Cities, Counties, MPOs, RPOs) who are working to reduce roadway fatalities and serious injuries in North Carolina.
Registration
Please contact the workshop support team Kara Peach and Catherine Saine for registration information.
Pre-Workshop Activities (Optional)
There are two optional activities on Wednesday, November 12th that are open, for free, to all attendees.
2:30 PM — Walking tour in the River Arts District hosted by the City of Asheville
Dress warmly! The walking tour will meet at the free parking lot at 229 Riverside Drive in Asheville. Lucy Crown, with the City of Asheville, will lead the ½-mile walking tour along the greenway. She will provide a background on the area’s history, an overview of the construction project, and describe the partners who helped create the River Arts District. If you’re enjoying the walk, you’re able to continue along the out-and-back greenway for an additional 2 miles. Those not interested in continuing further can turn around at the ½ mile point.
5:30 PM – 8:30 PM — Social Hour Meet & Greet at French Broad River Brewery
Join us at the French Broad River Brewery for live bluegrass music, a drink, and light snacks to connect with your peers before the workshop. The brewery is a 12-minute walk (3-minute drive) from the AC Hotel in Biltmore Village. You will receive a drink ticket upon arrival, good for one drink!
